More than a century ago, on two large lots into the City of Milan, there were the largest Italian chemical and pharmaceutical company (Carlo Erba Spa) and the first Italian crane manufacturer /Ceretti & Tanfani Spa) respectively. Since then, both companies have been decommissioned and the areas on which they lied have been recently requalified: today they host countless corporate buildings with external surfaces covered with coloured crystal claddings, wood end eco-cement. They are home to multinational companies, fitness gyms and even university btranches (namely the Polytechnic University of Milan).
